You will only need to know basic crochet skills to make this pattern:
-Single crochet
-Slip stitch
-Berry stitch (described in detail with video)
-Single crochet increase
-Invisible decrease
-Basic sewing skills to assemble all the parts together
Materials you will need:
-Size C, F, & G (2.75mm, 3.75mm, & 4mm) crochet hooks
-Worsted weight yarn & sport weight/DK weight yarn
-Fiberfill (or your stuffing of choice)
-6 sets of 10.5mm, 3 sets of 7.5mm, & 1 set of 4.5mm black safety eyes (you can purchase 10.5mm eyes HERE and 4.5mm HERE)
-Stitch marker (I highly recommend these ones HERE)
-Yarn needle
-Scissors
Finished Mary, Joseph, and big shepherd measure 4.5 in. (11.5 cm) tall and Baby Jesus measures 1.75 in. (7 cm) tall (not including manger), Baby shepherd: 3 in. (7.5 cm) tall, Sheep: 3 in. (7.5 cm) long 2 in. (5 cm) tall, Blue wiseman: 4.75 in. (12 cm) tall, Red wiseman: 5 in. (12.75 cm) tall, Purple wiseman: 4.5 in. (11.5 cm) tall. (Please be aware that depending on your gauge and the type of hook and yarn you decide to use, your dolls may not be exactly the same size as the ones in the pattern.)
