My New Website: A Dream Come True
Hey, ya'll! I'm sure most of you have already noticed my newly revamped website, but I wanted to take a moment to talk a little bit about it!
When I first started my blog it was just a blog and I didn't have a store on my site. If you wanted to buy patterns from me you had to buy them on Etsy or one of my other pattern outlets. But I've always dreamed of having a real website, one where my blog AND shop were combined!
I did a lot of research and asked advice from people who already had websites before I finally took the plunge and decided to invest in a full website - blog and shop. And I'm so happy I did! It took me a while to get everything up and running. There are so many things that have to be done to run an e-commerce site that you don't know about right off. But in the end, I even managed to get the legal stuff sorted out!
So what's new about this fancy new website? Well, for starters, it's got a whole new look from my previous blog site. But most importantly, my shop and my blog are now combined on one website so that when you visit storylandamis.com, it's all there! You don't have to visit separate sites to get what you're looking for! Visit the shop tab to buy patterns (and finished plushies when they're available), and the blog tab to read about my latest inspirations or free patterns.
This is SO exciting for me and I can't believe my little business has made it this far! I'm extremely grateful for all your guys' support on this new endeavor, I don't know what I'd do with out ya'll. I know I wouldn't be writing this post if it wasn't for supporters like you. I'm also very thankful to the people who helped me with the technical side of things as I struggled with payment methods, check out issues, and design problems. But I received some expert help and I can't thank the people who helped me enough! My heart wants to burst with happiness and gratitude every time I think about it.
But most importantly I'm so very thankful to my Savior, Jesus Christ. He made all this possible and provided me with the means to start and finish. And so I dedicate this website to Him and strive to glorify Him in each thing I do.
So please take a look around my new site and let me know what you think! And remember, you can buy your patterns here as well! (Yay!)
Oh, and just in case you were worried, you can still buy patterns from my Etsy shop, so don't worry. I'll continue to keep my Etsy shop updated with all my new patterns.
