Hey, ya'll! I recently had the great honor of being able to design an exclusive pattern for Stacey Trock's
Ami Club for the month of December! When Stacey first contacted me about it, I wasn't at all sure what I wanted to design. For some reason, a tiger or a raccoon kept popping into my mind so I suggested them both. Stacey had just recently designed a raccoon, so I settled on a tiger!
I had designed a tiger about a year ago for my 100 amigurumi countdown, but he was only about four inches tall and I knew that I wanted to make some needed changes to the design so I might as well start afresh with a new tiger design that was about twice the size of my first one.
Here is what my first little tiger design looked like. I really love the way I did the stripes on this one, but I wasn't sure that embroidering the stripes would be practical on a bigger tiger.
In the end, I decided to go with crocheted stripes and I love how they turned out!
Check out his pink safety nose! I hadn't used safety noses much before this, but after this, I think you'll be seeing them pop up a lot more in my designs. They're so easy to work with and just make the whole design look so neat! I used these ones HERE.
Terrance was definitely a challenging design, but I'm so glad I was able to make him and I'm really pleased with how he turned out!
You can get Terrance's pattern now by joining the Ami Club! It's only $6 a month and when you consider that fact that you're getting a new exclusive pattern every month plus discounts on Stacey's entire fabulous eye selection, it's a fantastic deal! You can join HERE.
If you're wondering if Terrance's pattern will ever be available from my shop, the answer is yes! In six months his pattern will be available! Excited?
I guess that's all for now! happy crocheting!
What do you think of Terrance? Are you part of the Ami Club or are you considering joining?
