Hello, all! Today I'm bringing you the third addition to my Christmas in July project!
I wasn't sure how I was going to make this little angel and I almost marked him off my list. I wasn't feeling inspired to create him and couldn't come up with any good design ideas.
But then, inspiration struck and I came up with this cutie!

Meet Gabriel the Baby Angel!
My favorite part about this little guy is his hair! Little angels with curly hair? Um, yes, please!

I used the berry stitch to create the texture. Apparently, it's a very non-traditional kind of berry stitch because I couldn't find a tutorial on YouTube anywhere showing the way I did it. I'll be putting together a tutorial on how I did mine and I'll also have detailed instructions on how to make the hair once his pattern is out.

Another special technique I used was an i-cord for his halo. The i-cord is actually quite easy to make (after all, the "i" stands for idiot) and you don't need to be intimidated by it. However, I will have an alternate halo version just in case you don't want to give it a try.
Here is a little video I put together on how to make the i-cord.
Stay tuned for my last Christmas in July design later this week! Which one has been your favorite so far? See my Santa Claus HERE and my Nutcracker HERE.
