Wow! I can't believe that 2017 is almost over! It's been an absolutely incredible year for Storyland Amis and I'm so thankful for where God has allowed me to take my business. I'm also extremely thankful to YOU for following along and always encouraging me!
Every New Year's Eve it's always fun to take a moment to look back and see everything that has happened over the course of that year. This week I've been thinking about all the things that have happened to Storyland Amis this year.
Here's a list of some of the most significant things that have happened to me this year!
1.) I started selling my patterns and published the first one in January! This year was the Chinese Year of the Rooster so my first pattern was a little rooster to commemorate that.
2.) I started my blog and published
my first post in February. Starting a blog has been a dream of mine for years, and I'm so happy that I finally realized that dream!
3.) I published three free patterns here on my blog,
Winston the Baby Bear,
Zippy the Baby Sloth, and the
Baby Jellies!
4.) I received a custom order for a
"cuddle-sized" Burt the Bee which started my business on a whole new path. Now my specialty is designing cuddle-sized amis! It sure doesn't feel like I've been designing cuddle-sized amis for less than a year!
5.) I hit 30k followers on Instagram!
6.) I created two supersized amigurumis.
A giant sloth and a
giant fox! They were beyond stressful to make, but they were the experience of a lifetime and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to make them.
7.) I published Gerald the Giraffe's pattern which ended up being my most popular pattern of the year!
8.) I started up my very own website where my blog AND my shop could be combined!
9.) I got featured in the Simply Crochet Magazine which seemed like such an impossibility to me, I still can't believe it happened.
10.) I designed a published six new Christmas designs as part of my Christmas in July project.
11.) And last, but not least, I actually made Christmas presents for people this year! *Gasps* Haha, this is the first year that I've actually found the time to make Christmas presents like I've been wanting to for a couple of years now. I made mini gingerbread men for friends at Church.
So there you have it! 2017 was so much fun and I can't wait to see what 2018 brings! What about you? What are your plans for 2018?
