UPDATE: Santa’s pattern is now available HERE.
Hello, all! I’m a little late posting this here on the blog, but it’s Christmas in July again!
Last year I started a Christmas in July project so that I would have Christmas designs ready in time for the holidays. I ended up with six really cute designs that you can see below!
I kind of thought I had exhausted all the Christmas characters/animals I could make but I was definitely wrong! When I asked for suggestions on my Instagram, you all came up with some great ideas!
The first one I took on for my project was Santa Claus! I really adore how he turned out. So much better than I could have hoped for!
What I love most about him is how I was able to create a super clean edge color change on him. When I shared a short video on Facebook and Instagram of how I did it, everyone was just as excited about it as I was! (Credit goes to YOUnique Crafts for teaching me how to do it!)
So here is the video I shared on how I created this really neat color change! (Not the best quality in the world, but hey, it’s watchable!)
Have you ever tried this color changing technique before? I don’t think I’m ever going back to the traditional method!
***UPDATE: Santa’s pattern is now available HERE. Santa’s pattern will be available at the end of this month! Make sure to check back to see when it’s up, or subscribe to my newsletter to be notified via email!
Stay tuned for the rest of my Christmas in July designs!
